At Blu Ridge By The Sea, we bring the ocean home — one beautiful shell at a time.

My husband and I spend countless joyful hours walking the beaches, searching for nature’s treasures. Every seashell we collect tells its own story, shaped and polished by the waves over time. Once home, we carefully clean, sort, and curate these finds before transforming them into one-of-a-kind framed seashell artwork.

Each piece is lovingly handcrafted. From elegant shadowbox displays and mosaic-style arrangements to classic framed compositions, our seashell art captures the serenity, texture, and wonder of the coast. Whether you love soft neutrals, vibrant tropical tones, or classic coastal blues and whites, every design is made to bring the peaceful feeling of the shoreline into your home.

How It’s Made

We ethically collect shells only from permitted areas and never take live specimens. Each shell is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and arranged by hand.

This group of collage colors are 15″ x 15″ and framed (no glass) with a rustic wooden frame that sets off the shell colors.

“Circle of Flats” is approximately 16″ x 16″ and framed with a natural wooden frame, museum glass and doubled matted with white and light pink to bring out the color of the Flat Scallop.

Each “Bouquet of Shells” is 15″ x 15″ and framed (no glass) with a rustic wooden frame and stained dark Walnut background that sets off the shell colors.
