Akitas are an independent breed, but most have a silly side reserved only for those people they know, love and trust. They do require being a part of a family, and should never be a trophy relegated to the back yard.

The main objectives of the Akita Club of America are the preservation and protection of the breed and improvement of the character and conformation of the Akita as described in the official breed standard.

This is a custom website design and development project that includes a Membership Renewal, National Specialty Section, Member Only Section, Woo Commerce Store and Events Calendar. The design portion of the project included a customized responsive framework that is designed to the specific needs of Akita Club of America’s content, services, and website representation.

The second year of launching The Akita Club of America had nearly $100,000.00 in sells and membership profit. We are particularly proud of this site.

I have been working with Joan Johnson of Blue Ridge Graphics for almost three years now.  The Akita Club of America hired her to redesign and move our web presence to a WordPress platform in December of 2015.  When we decided to do a site upgrade, we were repeatedly referred to Joan as the person who would best suit our needs.

Joan quickly grasped our objectives, the scope and budget of our project. She designed a site that is best in class – in fact, one of the best AKC Parent Breed Club sites in the country. She delivered on time and on budget. She set up a fully functional e-commerce capability that brings us an income stream we had not been able to leverage before.

Joan’s talents are diverse and comprehensive: she creates beautiful graphics, understands and executes logical site navigation, has a deep understanding of all the intricacies of web and e-mail hosting, backups, site conversions, e-commerce, underlying code, etc.  With all that technical expertise, she still communicates with her clients on a personal level, able to translate highly technical concepts into colloquial terms if her client is non-technical.

I am pleased to refer Joan to other businesses who seek websites of quality, ease of  use and functionality. Joan is a delight to work with – easy to get along, great sense of humor and creativity.
